Do you think that book covers are important?
Yes very! I feel that a book cover is what catches a readers attention even before they read the synopsis. For me personally, the cover has to be appealing for me to continue to pursue.

What is your favourite book?
I was a young adult during the Twilight series mania by Stephanie Meyer and loved the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris, although my genre taste has evolved and I am older, I could still sit and re-read both series over and over.

What do you use as inspiration?
Seeing other up and coming authors, as well as veteran authors and hearing about their journey through this crazy world of books has been a tremendous inspiration. I note before, I am very self-conscious. I have spent years writing without even my family being aware of my secret passion. It has taken a lot of courage to publish a book as the fear of the unknown is terrifying! Seeing others in the same boat as me has inspired me to just keep going day after day and continue doing what I love.

At what age were you, or what event happened, when you knew you loved writing and you were good at it?
The jury is still out on how good I am at it but I would have to say that my freshman year in high-school my interest peaked in writing. Although I had always been a fan of 'happily ever after' I had just began to dive into the world of romance novels and feel in love. Writing helped me express myself and my vision of love and happily ever afters.

What is your favourite quote or line from a book?
Well, this isn't a quote or line from a book, but it is a quote by Nora Roberts that has stuck with me “I do not feel obliged in my reading. I read to be entertained and to relax, and to go into another world, not because it's good for me.”
