Angela Waters juggles two high-stress jobs: nurse and earthbound angel. On a rare girls’ night out, she intervenes and saves the life of Mason Kearney, a stripper with southern charm and a secret. It’s a move that will force her to contemplate why in all the heavens she puts up with the injustice of being an angel, which leads to a bombshell that challenges everything she’s ever known.

In the midst of falling for the Alabama boy, she’s in for the fight of her life when a demon, hell-bent on taking her wings, shows up at the most inopportune times.

With a family of angels rallying behind her, she’s sent on a mission to learn everything about them, herself, and evil, to save all the earthbounds from an untimely demise.

Can Angela survive with her heart and her wings intact?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is one of the best ones I have ever read! Angels, we don't think of the beings often but we see the miracles they perform every day. It could be something as small as deciding not to step off a side walk and a car flying by immediately after or as big as, if the bullet would have hit 2mm to the left the person would be dead.
Angela is what is called an earthbound, an angel on earth that performs miracles. Mason is a good ole country boy from Alabama (being from Tennessee myself he held a spot in my heart from the get go). Tragedy has struck Mason's life in the past and he isn't sure how he will get past it, and then his Angel walks in.
Have you ever thought about what angels do on their off time? What do you think angels would do in their off time? Do they have jobs, do they drink, do some of them have a compulsion to lie? Randi Perrin answers those questions.
I literally had to step away from my Kindle at one point because of the cry I had. The feels were really getting to me, but that didn't last long.
Demons, when you think of angels demons are not far behind. How do demons happen? Are they really fallen angels? Well, that question gets answered too.
All in all, I will say you seriously need to read this book. You won't have a full out ugly cry by the end, but you will have tears sneak through. Angela and Mason will have your heart beating for them, and Angela's family may remind you on your own.

Randi has spent her entire life writing in one form or another. In fact, if she wasn't writing, she'd likely go completely and utterly insane. Her husband has learned to recognize when the voices are talking in her head and she needs some quality time with an empty Word file (the key to a successful marriage with a writer).

She lives with her husband, daughter, and four-legged children—all of which think they are people too.

A pop culture junkie, she has been known to have entire conversations in movie quotes and/or song lyrics.
